Job Summary
The purpose of this position is a 30-hour a week position that performs a wide variety of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation within the Cibola Regional Communications Center. This is accomplished by performing general clerical duties. Other responsibilities include coordinating meetings, appointments, training, and travel for department personnel, and performing other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This is a part-time job that operates in a professional office environment; subject to sitting for extended periods of time, standing. May be required to attend out of town training and seminars. This position requires contact with the public which exposes the incumbent to individuals that may be angry, agitated, or otherwise upset. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, photocopiers, shredders, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

One (1) year clerical/office experience.

Two (2) or more years of experience performing clerical, and administrative support preferred.

Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

Ability to work independently of daily supervision and to exercise discretionary judgement and thinking.

Must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license. 

May not have any DWI or DUI within the last five (5) years.

Pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background investigation.

Strong communication skills and be able to write clearly and informatively, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions.

Able to organize and prioritize work, use of time efficiently.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work in stressful situations.

Knowledge with PC’s and Window software required and the ability to accurately type 40 wpm.

This position requires residing in Cibola County and the ability to comply with safety guidelines and policies of the County.
