Job Summary
The position serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival. Responsible for the effective, efficient, maintenance of the office involving staff assignments, training, assisting in workloads, dealing with taxpayers, and relieving superiors of any other duties. Receipting property tax payments daily and assisting taxpayers for information on accounts.
Work Environment
Work is routinely performed under typical office conditions. Employee primarily performs duties alone, both with and/or without direction. Occasional Employee may work with a small group consisting of one (1) or two (2) other employees. Occasional travel by car is necessary. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet. Work is primarily during daylight hours, but occasionally irregular hours could be expected. Work is subject to frequent fluctuations and is often performed in stressful situations.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Three (3) to twelve (12) months’ work experience in an office setting.
One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in customer service and cashiering preferred.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
Excellent organization skills.
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Able to operate a 10 key calculator.
Able to contribute positively as part of a team, assisting with various tasks as required.
Must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license. For out of state driver’s license, must obtain a valid New Mexico driver’s license within six (6) months of employment.
May not have any DWI or DUI within the last the last five (5) current years.
Effective communication skills (English required, bilingual in Spanish preferred) and be able to write clearly and informatively, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions.
Pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background investigation.
Employee must reside within Cibola County.
Must maintain confidentiality.
